RMIT provides training and accrediation for:

Instructors deliverying RMIT Aviation English training program
Examiners who deliver RELTA
Raters who rate RELTA candidates

Required Qualifications

RELTA Training and Accrediation

RELTA personnel undergo radiotelephony and RELTA induction training. If the RELTA Examiner is competent in radiotelephony phraseology, the radiotelephony training requirement will be waived.

RELTA Examiner minimum qualifications

RELTA Examiners need to be native speakers of English OR demonstrate high level of language proficiency in English.

RELTA Rater minimum qualifications

RELTA Raters need to be native speakers of English OR demonstrate high level of language proficiency in English (eg. ICAO Level 6) AND have a language teaching qualification.

RMIT Aviation English Instructor minimum qualifications

RMIT Aviation English Instructors need to be native speakeras of English OR demonstrate high level of language proficiency in English (eg. ICAO Level 6) AND have a language teaching qualification.
